Richard Abrahams originally from Cape Town Rep South Africa, is an Accredited Coach with The Coaching Academy U.K. A support Coach for Noble Manhattan and Accredited Success Principles Trainer with Jack Canfield Personal Development Services
Whilst residing in London, he trained in Career Guidance for adults, with a background in Human Rights and the Legal rights of Refugees and Asylum Seekers.
He worked at a Human Rights Centre where his role was to assess the client’s academic qualifications through NARIC a designated United Kingdom National Agency that recognizes and compares international qualifications and skills.
He helped many retrain to find suitable jobs and signed them up for English courses. Richard helped one pilot from a war torn country reach an impossible dream.
After nine months of networking with another NGO, his client was accepted into the British Aerospace Programme. Richard handed his clients motivational material on the Success Principles and used his Coaching Skills to motivate and help them achieve their goals and dreams.
Richard has an excellent track record for helping individuals get results.He is confident in motivating people towards achieving their goals and believes that no dream is impossible.
Richard worked extensively with long term unemployed Dads especially, the over fifties at the employment service. He introduced Personal Development Coaching Programmes.
The clients had breakthrough results. Their self- esteem increased and their mindset changed some were willing to improve their computer skills and enrol on job training. He organized job fairs for clients who were actively seeking work. Richard has an excellent track record in helping individuals attain their goals.
Building on people’s needs, creativity and helping them to achieve their personal best is one of his many strength’s. He is constantly promoting the benefits of Life Coaching and Personal Development wherever he goes.
He has a natural empathy with people, highlighted by his humour, positivity and excellent communication skills. Richard is no stranger to failures and empty promises. He calls himself Mr Positive. He is always looking for solutions to improve his life and the lives of others.
In 2002 Richard did voluntary work at the Homestead, a shelter for homeless teenagers in Cape Town. He focused on their Self Esteem Issues and Confidence Building which helped them cope with mainstream schooling. A father of three adult children and now a grandfather, Richard shows no signs of slowing down.
Richard dropped out of the coaching arena many years ago when he and his family returned to Cape Town. After two years in Cape Town, he and his wife decided to come back to Ireland. He did voluntary work with Fathers Families and Friends in Galway. The organisation provided a valuable service to Dads
In October 2014 at the age of 67 graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Sociology, Political Science and German at Nuig Galway. He said that it was the best years of his life. His greatest fear was that he would not be accepted by the younger generation.
The younger students had an instant connection with him and gave him help and support when he needed it most. The acceptance and support from the students boosted his self confidence and raised his self esteem.
Most younger students at University had issues with time management and would hand in essays till the last minute, resulting in low marks or having to do repeat the essay.
Richard approached the various lecturers about running time management coaching sessions for six months. He did a weekly coaching workshop with students who had issues with time management. The coaching helped them meet deadlines.
He designed his very own website for Dads who had no idea how to raise children. He was raising awareness of the difficulties of being a single parent.
He wrote weekly blogs on different areas of family life based on his own personal experiences as a father.
Now semi- retired and after attending the Breakthrough to Success with Jack Canfield in August 2019, Richard has enrolled in Train the Trainer Online Course. He set the completion date for the 11 am 5th May 2020.
He confidently feels that Train the Trainer Online once he is accredited, will give him the necessary tools he needs to Live a life of Purpose, Service and Financial Security.
His goal for the next ten years is to create his own Personal Development Programmes across the world to individuals across the world starting from Cape Town to Cairo.
